Preventing Disease

World Health Day is April 7.  It is a day where we focus on raising awareness about health issues around the world.

In this week’s vlog I aim to raise awareness about the top two killers in the United States:  heart disease and diabetes.  These diseases are often preventable and sometimes reversible with simple lifestyle modifications.  It makes me sad to see so many people hospitalized every day for issues that likely didn’t need to happen if the person had been educated about a better way to live.  I want to teach people that they don’t need to suffer or feel deprived in order to make healthy changes.
